Jim possesses a broad and in depth knowledge of HVAC and Refrigeration systems. His diverse skill set has been gained through experiences in different segments of the business starting in 1980 – including Refrigeration and HVAC Contracting; Chief Mechanical Engineer for a leading supermarket operator and Regional Director for a leading custom HVAC and refrigeration manufacturer. These experiences show in Jim’s hands-on and practical approach.
Then for years prior to forming EDG, Jim was partnered in an Architectural / Engineering Firm, for which the positive results are seen in his knowledge of all aspects of a project. What Jim is most remembered for though is his style – he brings a very high level of energy and enthusiasm to all projects and interactions.
Highlights of Project Experience:
Pfizer Corporation – Parsippany, NJ
New construction of 20,000 sf, critically controlled refrigerated staging facilities. Specific responsibilities included refrigeration systems design and control strategies.
Hospital for Joint Disease Control – Manhattan, NY
Twenty story analysis of the building HVAC systems following the attack of 9-11 on New York City. Responsibilities included full building investigations, flow measurements, control strategies and subsequent remedial design criteria.
Johnson & Johnson – Bridgewater, NJ
New construction of a 10,000 sf, multiple story, laboratory research facility. Specific responsibilities included systems design, control strategies and project management.
Bayley Seton Hospital – Staten Island, NY
Out parcel renovation specifically intended for HIV patient diagnosis and care. Responsibilities included the design of the HVAC systems employing complex air-side treatment to contain/destroy the possible distribution of air-borne particulate matter.
Foodarama Bakery Commissary – Freehold, NJ
New construction of a 55,000 sf commercial bakery facility providing the baked goods for the multiple ShopRite supermarkets.
